About the Author: Elsa Beskow was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1874 and is often described as Sweden's Beatrix Potter. Inspired by her life and surroundings Elsa illustrated one book each year to support her growing family, including books dedicated to her 6 sons. These books became highly popular and were translated into many languages which continue to be read & enjoyed up till today.
