About the Author

Elsa Beskow was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1874 and is often described as Sweden's Beatrix Potter. Inspired by her life and surroundings, she illustrated a book each year to support her growing family, including books dedicated to her six sons. Her stories have been translated into many languages and continue to be read and enjoyed today.
